Civil Society Review issue 6 - War: a catalyst for the transformation of families in the Middle East. Case studies from Lebanon, Yemen, Palestine, and Syria.
This thematic issue seeks to understand how the various wars in the Middle East have shaped, and continue to shape, societies in the region, focusing specifically on the family sphere as a lens through which to observe these societies during wartime. Bringing together sociological and anthropological contributions about Lebanon, Yemen, Iraq, Palestine, and Syria, this issue contributes to the renewal of war studies by proposing an analysis of family restructuring that allows for an understanding of social upheaval in wartime, as part of a continuum that extends into peacetime.
Revue de la Société Civile No6 - La guerre : un catalyseur de transformations familiales au Moyen-Orient. Études de cas au Liban, Yémen, Palestine et Syrie.
Ce numéro thématique propose de comprendre la manière dont ces multiples guerres ont façonné et façonnent toujours les sociétés du Moyen-Orient, en se penchant plus précisément sur la sphère familiale comme un observatoire des sociétés en temps de guerre. Réunissant des contributions en sociologie et anthropologie sur le Liban, le Yémen, l’Irak, la Palestine et la Syrie, ce numéro de revue contribue au renouveau des études sur la guerre, en proposant d’analyser les recompositions familiales comme prisme d’analyse permettant d'appréhender les bouleversements sociaux du temps de guerre dans un continuum avec le temps de paix.
