The Lebanese Army found five improvised explosive devices near the northeastern town of Al-Qaa, an Army statement said.
The Army said each device weighed around 15 kg and that they were all left behind by “terrorist organizations” that were expelled from the area earlier this year.
Various types of weapons are being found on a regular basis in Al-Qaa as the Army moves to secure the outskirts of the town following separate Hezbollah and Army operations in July and August that expelled Daesh (ISIS) and Jabhat Fatah al-Sham – the militant entity formerly known as the Nusra Front – from Arsal, Ras Baalbeck and Al-Qaa.
