On September 20th, the American University of Beirut Wednesday responded to a fracas caused by comments allegedly made by a professor to a student wearing a hijab in class earlier this week.
A student experiened discriminative remarks from her sociology professor, Dr. Samir Khalaf, during a seminar that took place on the 18th.
A group of students from AUB held a peaceful protest to voice their outrage over the incident.
