State Security arrested a suspect who reportedly fought with Jabhat Fatah al-Sham terrorist in east Lebanon.
The suspect, identified as Hasan Q., was arrested in Baalbeck’s Hawsh al-Nabi on charges of belonging to the group and fighting against the Army in the northeastern town of Arsal. He was the personal bodyguard of Anas Sharkas, known as Abu Ali al-Shishani, one of the Nusra Front’s commanders.
Hasan Q. participated in meetings attended by former Jabhat Fatah al-Sham leader in Qalamoun Abu Malek al-Talli, Sharkas and his cousin Hamza Qarqouz, who was the leader of an armed group on Arsal’s outskirts.
