Armed gunmen robbed two shops in the northern district of Akkar , the state-run National News Agency reported.

One of the shops, a cell phone maintenance and retail store, is owned by local trader Khaled Abdul Rahman al-Zaabi, the other, a vegetable shop, is owned by Ghassan Massoud al-Zaabi. Both shops in the Mashha area of the region were robbed early Thursday morning, the NNA reported.

The owners filed a complaint with a local branch of the Internal Security Forces.
