The Internal Security Forces Sunday announced the arrest of a man suspected of carrying out an armed car robbery near Rmeileh in the Chouf.

The suspect, identified as Syrian national  was arrested on Oct. 31 in Aramoun.

The victim, identified as Lebanese national , told the ISF he had been in his car in the Wadi al-Zaynieh area near Rmeileh when a person pointed a pistol at him, entered his car and forced him to drive to nearby Barja. There, the suspect forced the victim to enter a house where another person was present. They subsequently beat him, then stole his phone, an amount of money and the car,
