Killing in Sirjbal to push out Christians

Armed Druze men surrounded the Greek Catholic village of Sirjbal, at the entrance of the Shuf, and killed two people. This operation was aimed at pushing Christians out from the seven villages of the valleys (al-Wadaya) to clear the Shuf road for the Joint Forces. In effect, 500 Christians from these villages left their hometowns and moved to the southeastern suburbs of Beirut.
