Members of the Fatah Movement apprehended Shadi Tohme, Naji's brother, who also participated in the clashes of el Bass Palestinian camp and handed him over to Army Intelligence. Shadi has several arrest warrants out against him for both drug possession and dealing.
Fatah was working to “eradicate” the presence of Tohme and his loyalists. However, the botched arrest stirred controversy inside the camp, with residents condemning the violence and resulting destruction to property.
