Unknown assailants burned down the tent of a Syrian family in the locality of Moughraq in the outskirts of the town of Mshaha, NNA field correspondent to Akar reported on Saturday.

The attack comes in the aftermath of a statement circulating since dawn yesterday in said town calling upon all Syrians to leave Mshaha. The statement was signed by the youth of Mshaha. This prompted the anger of the town's municipality, which called on security forces to uncover the people behind the statement and said it would not tolerate any attack on a person Syrian or Lebanese.

The number of Syrian refugees in the town of Mshaha totals 3500, while the town's original people amount to 6000. The municipal council took a decision a month ago not to receive anymore Syrian refugees.
