Zghorta municipality head, Toufic Mouawad, passed away on Thursday in Haddad Hospital, Beirut, where he was transferred after being critically injured at dawn in a horrible car accident, National News Agency correspondent in Zghorta, Farid Bou Francis, reported.

The accident took place today at 4:45 a.m. on Quarantina high way next to Sukleen Company building in Beirut between a black ""7Q Audi"" with plate number 10896 and a big truck carrying plate number 330113, which was parked on the road side.
