Army conducted a raid in Baalbek to find abducted Saudi citizen
Army Special Forces carried out the operation to find Ali Abdel-Nabi Ali al-Bishrawi, who was reported missing and believed to have been kidnapped in the Oqaibeh area of Kesrouan. They were also working to arrest suspects tied to the kidnapping.

On November 10, five soldiers were injured on this evening when an army patrol came under intense gunfire exchange with armed men in the area of Dar al-Wassiah in Baalbek during a raid in the area. There was an ""intense"" exchange of fire between the gunmen - using machine guns and rocket-propelled grenades - and Army forces before several of the gunmen were arrested and transferred to the judiciary.

On November 11, another soldier of the Sixth Army Brigade died of gunmen bullets as his vehicle came under intense shooting while he was passing by the intersection of Kial-Budai.

The intelligence officers and the Internal Security Forces Information Division were also involved in the operation.

The Army arrested 19 people in total during the raid and seized six cars. A large quantity of narcotics, a number of weapons, ammunition and other military equipment were seized during the raid.

The security source said that the operation was carried out with the aim of gaining information on the whereabouts of Bishrawi, as well as to make arrests, retrieve stolen cars and follow up on other crimes.
